Sick, Sick, Sick

Mike is sick. He is sacked out in the lovesac right now. Poor guy. He was such a trooper. Last weekend I was flat on my back with the same thing. (this flu takes you out). For three days he took care of Adam for me while I lay comatose in my bed.

Then he had a killer week at work! I am talking working until 1 am every night. He even worked until 9pm on Sat! I made him take today off to act as a Sat because Adam had forgotten who he was and I really missed him.

So today while fixing his bumper (long story) he started with the sore throat. It came on so fast I dont think he knew what hit him. Poor guy. I wish there was something more I could do than just let him sleep.

As a diversion to our illnesses, here are some really cute pics of Adam. I cant get enough of him :)

Gifts from Heaven

I used to make fun of my dad when he would snap and say it goes like that. In just a snap you look back on your life and wonder where it went. I am realizing he is right.

Adam and I went outside today. He walked in the snow all by himself, went down the slide, jumped on the trampoline, and with supervision swung on the swing like a big boy. He is growing so much, by leaps and bounds. I am so grateful to have these moments to cherish. Everyday Adam is changing and growing. Each day is some new discovery and milestone. It goes to fast, but moments like today are gifts from heaven that I am certain to remember them for the rest of my life.

I am so blessed to be a wife and a mother. These sacred relationships are what gives life the moments to cherish. I am grateful to God for these two Dover boys who bless my life so abundantly and for the opportunity to let dishes sit in the sink and make memories with my Adam boy.

Visit from Nana and Papa and Squeaky Shoes

We just had a wonderful time with Mike's mom and dad. Adam had two best buddies who spoiled him and loved him. The morning after they left he walked into the front room looking all over the place and saying, "Papa?". We had a great time and Mike Sr. fixed our door, and roof, and everything else. He is so kind to us. Adam loved having Nana and Papa here. Its such a treat to have them come. While they were out here Adam's squeaky shoes arrived! Much to Mike Sr. and Jr. dismay. I think they are adorable. I bought them for really reasonable prices here if you are in the market. :)

Loads and Loads of Snow

Today we had about 6 inches of snow! Mike shoveled twice, once after church (noon) and once at 6 pm. It was crazy! Here are pictures of Adam helping shovel snow. At first he hated it, bt the he warmed up to the idea and we walked up and down the street a couple times in his snow-proof boots (as long as I was holding his hand).

Here are pictures of all the snow Mike shoveled. What a man!

I am posting video of Adam in the snow. You can hear him saying his new favorite word. Oww (he is getting 4 molars at once). Cute kid.

Here is a video of Adam walking in the snow. He walked all over the neighborhood, but he wouldn't let go of my hand. :) I was his security in case he fell I guess. Its wonderful to be a mama!

When I went out to take pictures of all Mikes hard work shoveling. Adam came to me holding his snow boots. He wanted to go outside too. I guess when he got a taste of playing in the snow he wanted more. What a smart little boy!

On a side note CONGRATULATIONS to my sister-in-law Sara! I am so happy for you! You are going to be a great mom! We love you!
