I was in charge of the Blue and Gold banquet this year. We did a mystery dinner cub scout style! A mystery dinner is where you choose items on the menu like cub scout in a sleeping bag. Then you are served a corn dog. Everything is on the menu including silverware and everything gets cleared away after each course. The menu was created with cub scouts in mind. My brothers were awesome in helping me think of the items. Thanks guys! You can see the menu and the key here.

Mikel and his scouts came and served the cubs. The cubs loved being served by the older boys and the older boys got all the leftovers :).
The centerpieces were $1.00 buckets from Zurchers (a party supply store). I printed out the cubscout emblems and decoupaged them on with Modpodge.
Then I copied an idea from here and made sugar cookie lollipops. The original plan was to cut the sugar cookies out into the scout fleur de lis but I made the wrong recipe. Who knew there were sugar cookie recipes that you dont cut out.
This is our watering station. Its just water with lemons and blueberries. I used frozen blueberries and they turned the water purple. Next time I will go with fresh ones.
The Yellow rectangles at everyone's seat is where they wrote down their menu selections. We collected them by table and numbered them so we would know who to serve what to.
Between each course each den prepared a skit. Wolves went while we were getting the first course out, bears during the second and webelos during the third.
